"S" alphabet number plate

can anyone enlighten me on this. i saw a couple of new cars with number plate starts from "SW XXXX" is this a new numbering system?

its a very old numba plate they brought over to their new car OR its some embassy car cant remember...either one

Think "S_ XXXX" number plates are the batch before the three letters number plates comes out starting from SBA.

Recently saw quite a number of cars with these kind of number plate reappearing on our roads...say a few years ago, it will consider rare to see one or two...wonder is LTA putting these plate up for bidding or something...Anyone knows? Confused
